Hey Divers!
TWD is heading just over the mountain to Gray Tn on Saturday June 9th for our first trip to Gray Quarry. If you haven't been to the quarry yet, this place is great! It's aerated which means the owners pump air from the surface down to the bottoms of the quarry. This eliminates thermoclines, so whatever the water temp is at the surface it will be the same at the bottom and everywhere in between. The aeration also helps with the visibility in the water. It is not uncommon for us to have 60ft+ of viz while diving. Assuming of course we aren't silt monsters :(.
We will offer first day checkout dives. as well as refresher courses for anyone interested. Call the shop for pricing and info.
For certified divers the entry cost is $20 for all day, if you need tanks or gear come by the shop ASAP, as we have new divers looking to do checkouts this day.
We are capping this trip at 20 divers.
If this weekend does not work with your schedule, we are looking into taking a weekday trip to the quarry as well. We need a minimum of 8 divers to make this happen.
As a side note we will be closed Monday May 28th for Memorial Day.
