TWD is turning 30 in 2019 and to celebrate we are heading to Egypt where we will embark on a 8day/7night liveaboard. We will be diving in the Northern Red Sea on the Heaven Saphir.
April 20th-27th 2019
The Northern Red Sea is famous for its coral reefs, and ship wrecks famed to be some of the best diving in the world. 4 dives a day are included in this package as well as Nitrox for $45 for the week for those of us who are certified. All meals are included while on the ship, beer and wine is available for purchase around $2 per. We are invited to bring along any liquor bottles and they can pour them for us after our fantastic day of diving is over. TWD is booking the whole ship, so we can take a maximum of 18 divers. There are a few different accommodations to chose from. All accommodations are priced per person with 2 people per room. All of the rooms have private bathrooms, mini fridge, and AC.

In addition to this dive trip we are also including a 3 day tour of Cairo and the pyramids.
Our plan is to fly into Cairo on the 17th of April prior to our embarkation and have a guided tour of the area, and then fly from Cairo to Hurghada on April 20th where the ship is docked. The flight is a little over an hour and is offered 5 times a day. Our accommodations while in Cairo will be at the Steigenberger Hotel. You can see our Itinerary below. Meals mentioned in Itinerary are included in the price, all other meals must be paid out of pocket. Also when visiting some of the sites as an option you can enter certain rooms of the pyramids, and or the Mummy Room in the Egyptian Museum for an added cost. I think around $15.
Day 1
- Arrive to Cairo airport ,
- meet and assist, transfer to hotel for rest,
- Overnight in Cairo.
- Dinner Cruise by night
Day 2
After breakfast:
- Full day visit to Pyrmids of Gizeh,
- followed by Lunch,
- Visit to Egyptian Musuem
- Overnight at Cairo
Day 3
After breakfast:
- Full day visit to Citadel of Salahdin,
- Coptic Cairo,
- Lunch at Local Restaurant.
- Overnight at Cairo.
Day 4
After breakfast: transfer to Cairo Airport
The cost for the Cairo Tour is $395 per person Dbl occupancy in the hotel.There is a $25 Egyptian visa paid on arrival in country.
TWD will handle purchasing flights from CAI-HRG for folks who are doing the tour.
We will not book flights from the US to Egypt. We will let everyone know which flight we are booking for ourselves if your interested in flying with us though.
Our current plan is to either fly from Dulles or Atlanta for around $900 round trip.
The roundtrip flight from CAI-HRG should be around $100.
Please call the shop for more information, we are still in the planning phases of this trip, but as we are booking the whole ship we need to start getting deposits in. We already have 8 people committed to going, so act fast! First come first serve on this one so whoever can put up a deposit will get a spot. We can't hold your spot unless you come in and pay the deposit, and pick your accommodations on the ship.
