Covid-19 Update

Hey TWD Family,

I'm sure your inbox is full of emails from various companies informing you of how they are handling the Corona Virus, so I apologize for adding to that. We do want to take the time though to send out an update, as many of you are planning to take upcoming classes and or trips with us. Our April FL springs trip has been canceled, and we are working on refunding deposits, for everyone who has paid in part or in full for the trip. Please bear with us through this process. If you paid via credit card, you can expect a refund on that specific card. If you paid via cash or check please email us with an address that we can mail a check to you at. Our Costa Rica trip is still a go, and as of now will not be canceled. We will continue to monitor the spread of the virus, and heed WHO and CDC recommendations for travel plans. We will update everyone as we know more. If you have registered for an open water class or another class in March or April we will postpone and work with you to schedule an alternative date.

After today the shop will be closed, but we will check emails and voicemails and continue to assist with any scuba related needs you have. We hope to reopen soon and will send out another email updating you on when that is. Please be safe, enjoy your time with family and friends, and be thinking about how great it will be to get in the water after things start to return to normal.

Nitrox Class Monday the Feb 24th

Hey TWD Family,

We are offering a Nitrox class that is open to everyone who is already a certified diver. This is a great specialty course as it allows you to breath compressed air that has extra oxygen in it, allowing you to stay at depth longer before risking going into a decompression dive. We breathe Nitrox on most of our international trips, like the upcoming Costa Rica trip. The extra oxygen in your tank also helps fight fatigue after diving, so that you can enjoy multiple dives in one day, and still have energy for the rest of the day. 

The course is 3 hours, and takes place here at the TWD shop from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. 

Come by the shop to register, and pick up a Nitrox book that you need to read prior to coming to class.

The fee for the course is $129, and covers all learning materials and certification card upon completion.

Costa Rica Trip Details July 11th-18th, 2020

We are heading to Liberia, Costa Rica this summer for our big international trip.

Attached is a detailed itinerary, but in brief, we will enjoy 5 days of diving with 2 dives each day, at Villas Sol an all-inclusive resort. In addition to diving, we'll have the opportunity to do a zipline canopy tour, as well as a topside adventure that includes waterfalls, sloths, and monkeys. All of this is included in the prices below. All rooms are double occupancy unless otherwise specified. We were able to secure non-stop flights out of Charlotte, NC direct into Liberia, Costa Rica. We only have 10 group airfare spots available, so please don't hesitate to register if you want to use this great airfare. Also please have your name as it appears on your passport at the time of booking. Pricing breakdown below for ground package w/airfare and without. 

If you plan on going with us and securing your airfare be advised that we will have transfers arranged for guests arriving at similar times, but you may be waiting at the airport for more of our group to arrive so that the shuttle doesn't have to make a trip for each flight arriving in. If your incoming flight is wildly different from our group flight or arriving/departing on a separate day you will be responsible for arranging your own transfers.

Catalina Island~ Home to some of the best diving in Costa Rica. Known for its amazing marine life. Especially Rays i.e bat, Mobley spotted, sting and bully. 

$62 per diver, 4 divers minimum. Mitch is planning on doing this upgrade.

Additional 3rd tank afternoon dive $30

Nitrox is $13.50 per tank per dive payable at the dive shop. Mitch is planning on diving Nitrox.

55% non-refundable deposit due at the time of registration balance due Friday, April 3rd by 5 pm. These prices do not include rental gear via TWD or the dive operator in Costa Rica. Please contact us with specific rental gear needs, and we can quote you a price for the duration.

Our group airfare itinerary. Be advised there is a 2hr time zone difference between Costa Rica and the east coast.

Checkout Dive Opportunity and Upcomming International Trip Details

Hey TWD Family!!!

We were hoping to offer a Spring Break trip March 10th-17th, but after a lot of time and effort, we were unable to put together an affordable trip during those very popular dates. Either the airfare was way overpriced to destinations, or the resorts could only accommodate us for a limited time during that week.

We know that everyone is anxious to get back in the water in a warmer climate destination, especially with this cold rainy/snowy weather. Our next trip is going to be to Florida over Easter weekend. Please see the attached brochure for more information.

Mitch and I are finalizing the details for a great trip to Costa Rica in July, so keep your eye out for an email from us with that information. We should have it very soon!
