Hey TWD Family!
We will be starting up our summer checkout dives June 8th over at Gray Quarry in Gray TN. This is a great place to do your first day of checkout dives which will include two out of the four required dives to get your certification.
This day is also open to folks who want to get a refresher course in, or if you just want to escape the heat and have a fun day diving as an already certified diver.
If you have never been to Gray Quarry you should really come to check it out. They have an aeration system installed which pumps air from the surface down to the bottom of the quarry. This eliminates any thermoclines, and so the temp of the water down at the bottom of the quarry will be as warm as it is at the top! Also, the viz is often really good usually around 50-60ft. They have multiple wrecks that they have sunk down there as well: boats, planes, vehicles, etc.
The water temp should be around 75 degrees or warmer.
The Cost:
2 Checkout Dives $110 includes entry, all gear, tanks, and weights.
Refresher Course with a Dive Master $95.
Certified Divers $20 entry fee.
Tank rental $10.
Full gear rental with 2 tanks $50.
This trip is contingent on having a minimum of 6 divers. Call us soon to register, or come by the shop and we can outfit you with all of the gear that you need.
